There are (2) things the Thai people take very seriously....
Respect for the King....and respect for the Buddha.
Never say anything ...anywhere about the king....the Thai people see him as "God-like".....and when you walk past or inside any Buddhist Temple....you can take pictures....but do not point at things or joke about things....People have been beat to death for insulting the King or the Buddhist customs.
A final warning....we are going to have a great time....I have been personally inspecting and trying many bars and massage "spas".....MASSAGE IS NOT PROSTITUTION....these are "legitimate" massage spas!

Thai people consider massage as "spiritual"....It brings "balance" to the system. I have found some incredible "spa" facilities...the only problem is that you will never want to leave....a Thai massage for an hour costs around $10-$15 dollars.

Persons who have sex with a prostitute below the age of 18 face arrest, fine and imprisonment. You must be 20 years of age to enter a night club. Recreational drug use is illegal and surprise drug testing may take place at popular night spots.
